St. Petersburg, Fla. (25 March 2015) – TruSpeed Autosport driver Sloan Urry will be back in Pirelli World Challenge action this weekend as he is set to campaign the No. 02 Engel and Volkers Porsche in St. Petersburg, Florida. The race event is held on the actual city streets of downtown St. Petersburg, setting the stage for a thrilling race on the 1.8-mile, 14-turn temporary circuit.

It will be the first appearance for Urry at the St. Pete street course, but the Utah-based race talent is no stranger to the type of track. In fact the very first time Urry raced on a temporary street circuit—the 2013 Baltimore Grand Prix— he took both the pole and race victory.

“We had a solid weekend at COTA with two second place finishes and that’s great for the points but of course you always want to be on top,” said Urry. “The TruSpeed guys have raced here before and that will be a help for me getting going this weekend. I’ve been doing some homework on the layout and it is pretty straightforward. I think it will be a fun challenge and I am eager to get going and build on what we started in Texas.”

Urry opened the 2015 Pirelli World Championship strongly, scoring two runner-up results in the first two rounds of competition at Circuit of the Americas. He and his TruSpeed Autosport team will look to carry that positive momentum into Rounds 3 & 4 this weekend.

“Sloan did an excellent job for us in Texas in some really challenging conditions,” said TruSpeed Autosport team manager Tyler Tadevic. “We’ve been through some big championship battles in World Challenge and we know that every point you can grab is critical and our weekend at COTA was a strong start to the year. Now it’s a new challenge with this street circuit–a lot of bumps for our Porsche to absorb—but I think we’ll have a good place to start set-up wise and hopefully can keep improving all weekend.”

TruSpeed Autosport will take part in a test session as well as official practice through the streets of St. Pete on Thursday. Qualifying will be held Friday at 5:45 PM ET. Race 1 will go green Saturday morning at 11:10 AM ET with Race 2 set for Sunday at 10:45 AM ET.
