Fast Facts:

Lime Rock Test: Urry and the TruSpeed team tested Tuesday at Lime Rock.  The team’s priority for the test was to get a handle on the oversteer they have been battling in high speed corners the last few races.  The day started with thunderstorms allowing the team to run in the rain for the first time this year, and develop a rain setup.  Eventually the track dried, giving Urry and his crew the opportunity to maximize their track time and complete the items on their test plan.  They finished the day on the clouds instead of under them, feeling very optimistic they made strides forward going into the Lime Rock race weekend.

Sloan Urry on the Weekend Ahead: “I’ve had the pleasure of racing at Lime Rock Park a few times.  It’s a really beautiful place and has produced a lot of great racecar drivers. It’s a bit nostalgic for me as I had my first pro-race there in 2010 in the Mustang Challenge.  I also had a few good runs competing there in the IMSA Challenge series, finishing second and third.  I’m certainly shooting for the top-step on the podium this weekend. I’m ready to get another win in the books for myself, my team and of course for SecurityNational Mortgage and Avasis.

Sloan on Lime Rock Park: It’s an exciting event to be part of, and a terrific season opener for Lime Rock.  I’ll be keeping in mind the spirit of Memorial Weekend, and honoring those who have served our country, including my grandfather, a World War II veteran.  I like the track, it’s kind of fun have such quick lap time, it allows us to do a lot of laps there.   Lime Rock is also fairly similar to Mosport in that it is very high-speed, and I like that.”
